We’ve listened to your feedback! Metrixel v2026.1.2 is now here with 8K image support for all formats, as well as 16-bit transparent TIFF capabilities for Professional Version.

What's New in Metrixel v2026.1.2

Following the first wave of feedback and feature requests from our dedicated users, we are excited to announce several key improvements to Metrixel.

Higher Resolution Support

After extensive testing across various GPU architectures, we have significantly increased the maximum image size support.

  • Resolution Boost: Maximum output size increased from 1024 (1k) to 8192 (8k).

  • Compatibility: This 8k support applies to all formats we have supported so far - TIFF, JPEG, and PNG.

Enhanced Transparency & Formats

We have improved our rendering pipeline to support transparency requirements:

  • [Professional Version only]: Added support for 16-bit transparent TIFF format, ideal for high-end VFX and deep-color compositing workflows.

  • [Standard & Professional]: Full support for transparent backgrounds in PNG file formats.
